I'm Anila,
nice to meet you!

I'm currently pursuing a Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. Before getting into UX design, I finished my undergraduate studies in Electronics and Communication Engineering. After that, I worked as an Incident Manager at Capgemini Technology Services India Limited, for two years.

My UX journey:

Let's go back to 2020, the year when the COVID-19 pandemic struck, causing an increase in our dependence on technology for even the most basic tasks. During that time, I personally witnessed my mother facing challenges with app features like finding the shopping cart or making payments, which became quite burdensome. It was at that moment that I realized how applications have been designed without considering the needs of older individuals, people with disabilities, and those who are not tech-savvy. It was then that I understood the significance of doing the research, empathizing with people and translating their pain points into design solutions that are intuitive, easy to use, and cater to the diverse needs of all humans.

By immersing myself in different experiences, whether its in the VR space or cultural/inclusive design,  I'm always seeking to expand my knowledge and stay current with the latest advancements in the field. I strongly believe that great design is all about understanding and meeting the needs of people while ensuring business profitability.

Kindness is my super-power, and I firmly believe that you can navigate difficult situations with grace and a sprinkle of fun.

Apart from all this, I like dogs, dance, chai, indo-chinese food and books.
